Finding the items that sell best on eBay is not very difficult and is extremely useful to your bottom line. It is much easier to sell items that are in high demand. I have been selling on eBay for a long time and I'll never understand why people try to sell items that are not in big demand.
The first method I use to find out what is hot on eBay is eBay Pulse. This program is free from eBay. This seller tool will show you the top ten searches for an item within a product category. So if you want to sell ladies shoes on eBay then use eBay Pulse to find out which ladies shoes people are searching for. There are other tools on the market that do the same thing but they charge a monthly fee.
Another eBay seller tool that is free is the advanced search option on eBay. Once you know what people are searching for within ladies shoes, you want to know which items actually end in a sale. You can use eBay's advanced search option to see which items end up as a sale versus an expired listing. This is valuable because you can figure out what type of listing to create. For example, an auction, buy it now, or both. Also, you can see which descriptions are best and usually end in a sale.
Once you know what items are selling best on eBay then you need to find a reliable wholesale source or dropshipper. I prefer using dropshippers, but both sources will work.
